PiKVM
With a PiKVM (a Raspberry Pi computer that allows KVM over IP) I am able to view the computer it is connected to in a browser,
and I have direct Keyboard, Video, and Mouse connection as if I were present.
The nice thing about this is that we do not have to wade through all the home or business ISP security, and the OS security.
You can see what is being done, and even do the same from a browser inside the network.
RDP
Is messy and usually blocked all over the place, happy to do it, but it would be something where you really know what you are doing. :)
SSH
This is the easiest, terminal control, you will still need VPN access or something like tailscale to make this work.
