What's my deal...

And more importantly, what does it have to do with you?

I have been in tech support for well over a decade and seen one company buy out another and everything be topsy turvy until they ship all the jobs to India.

And it was not all that sane before the buyout.

Even in Oil Patch work, company for a minute, buyout, and then a lateral move to a completely different company...

Training was sparse (unless you need to learn again how to be a decent human adult), with few exceptions, no mentoring, and no pathway to advancement. Just do all the needful or we find someone else.

Organizing my knowledge (and the nuggets gleaned from others along the way) into a tactical system was the only way I could keep my head above water, avoid layoffs, and manage my own stress.

I have read a bunch of books, and try a lot of things and found that the most helpful action was documenting the "needful" and making it easily understandable and accessible.

This made me a rockstar in many instances, but I had a new problem.

I needed graphic/pdf editing. Wiki markdown editing. Consultation on getting a simple web server with PHP running. A quick hand on getting Docker up and running and then the desired container...and even knowing what any of that is...

And I needed this without a multi thousand dollar package with multi weeks long turn around time, all while trying to vet randos from gig sites...

I would come to the end of my rope mentally and emotionally, but learned to accept and work with reality.

I learned the Linux things and got the LPIC 1. Opened GIMP (akin to photoshop) and tinkered until I could do what I want and needed.

Slogged through all the Docker videos I could until I was proficient. And since finding Tiddlywiki, I have learned many organizational tricks that I can now do my remote job work in very little time...

Leaving me time to learn more, create more, and develop this business.

What Thrown Wolf Consulting (named such because I have been thrown to the wolves and want to help and do business with others who have also been merciessly thrown to the wolves) is offerring is what I so desperately needed and wanted but could not obtain.

Affordable/Accessible tech support/consulting/contracting to do the scrappy things you need done to manage work and life.

Lastly...I had 2 jobs for a minute, it was great, could live like a normal person.

Please consider me, call me, educate me, on any jobs that I can do for this last quarter of 2025.

Thank you!

If you are not humble, life will visit humbleness upong you.

If there is nothing on any computer, anywhere (around here or remote), that can provide gainful employment, I can and have:

  • * Washed Dishes (restaurant)
  • * Picked Rocks in Farmers Fields

This will be a place

I really just have to get rid of the html filler so the site looks better.

Pertinant Events

Things that may matter to us hustling.

In the interim, while getting the site improved and people to want to be here, I'll probably be putting up my wife's farmer market info and whatnot.

Would be happy to put up other useful things.
